Türkiye’s National Security Council, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has issued a strong appeal for a cessation of hostilities involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, urging all parties to return to diplomatic negotiations. The council emphasized that ongoing conflict poses a significant threat to regional stability and could have far-reaching global repercussions.

During its meeting, the council highlighted the necessity of diplomatic measures to mitigate tensions and prevent further escalation in the region. The discussions also covered a broad range of geopolitical issues, including the situations in Syria, Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Reaffirming its stance on Syria, Türkiye expressed steadfast support for the country’s territorial integrity and called for increased stability in Iraq. The council also addressed the persistent violence in Gaza and Lebanon, advocating for international intervention to foster regional peace.

In light of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, Türkiye’s National Security Council called for restraint and a cease-fire, particularly in response to concerns over attacks impacting civilian infrastructure. The council’s agenda also included the escalating tensions in Yemen, which it noted as heightening security risks across the region, underscoring the urgent need to restore calm.
