Ankara’s Cezeri Green Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School has achieved a significant milestone, reaching the finals of the World’s Best School Prizes for its exceptional contribution to environmental sustainability and education. Since its establishment in 2017, the school has become a beacon of innovation in renewable energy education, making it one of the 10 global finalists in the Environmental Action category of this prestigious international awards program.
Specializing in renewable energy, the high school seamlessly incorporates practical applications of energy systems into its curriculum. Students engage directly with real-world energy systems, gaining hands-on experience while analyzing energy data. The school’s efforts are centered on critical environmental issues, including reducing carbon emissions, enhancing energy efficiency, and advocating for zero-waste practices.
A standout initiative of the school is the Energy Detectives Project, which educates middle school students on crucial topics such as carbon footprints, energy conservation, and waste reduction. Through this program, students actively monitor energy and water consumption in their schools, fostering a proactive approach to reducing usage and promoting sustainability.
In addition to its educational programs, Cezeri Green Technology High School has made commendable contributions to disaster relief efforts.
