by admin477351

The reserves of Türkiye’s central bank have seen a substantial increase, estimated to be nearly $40 billion since the end of June, marking the highest level in approximately five months. The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) reported that in the week concluding on August 21, total reserves grew by $5.3 billion, reaching an estimated $188.8 billion. This is an increase from the $183.5 billion recorded the previous week.

In late June, the reserves had dipped to about $149.2 billion. However, since then, they have experienced a robust recovery. By the end of July, the reserves had risen to $164.4 billion and continued their upward trajectory throughout August. This consistent growth highlights a significant recovery in the nation’s financial reserves over a relatively short period.

The latest increase, if confirmed, would signify that the reserves are now approximately $39.6 billion higher than the June low point, positioning them at their highest since March 13. This resurgence is seen as a positive indicator of economic stability and resilience for Türkiye’s financial sector.

The official figures for the reserves as of the week ending August 21 are scheduled for release on Thursday. These numbers will provide a clearer picture of the current financial standing and are anticipated with interest by economic analysts and stakeholders.
