In a significant development for Türkiye’s defense industry, five Turkish defense companies have made it to the 2026 global Top 100 defense companies ranking, underscoring the nation’s burgeoning capabilities in defense manufacturing and exports. ASELSAN stands out among these companies, securing the 40th position, a notable rise from its previous rank of 43rd. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) follows closely at 48th place, while ARCA Defense makes a strong debut at 53rd in the rankings.
Roketsan has shown commendable progress by moving up to the 64th spot from 71st, and MKE rounds out the Turkish representation at 81st. Collectively, these five companies have generated approximately $14.9 billion in defense revenue in 2025, highlighting their substantial contribution to the industry. Specifically, ASELSAN led the charge with $4.46 billion in defense revenue, with TAI contributing $3.65 billion, ARCA Defense $3 billion, Roketsan $2.37 billion, and MKE $1.42 billion.
This upward trajectory is largely attributed to the increasing global demand for Turkish defense products. Türkiye’s defense sector has expanded its footprint across various domains, including military electronics, aerospace, missile systems, ammunition, and other advanced technologies. This diversification and expansion have been pivotal in boosting the country’s profile on the international defense stage.
The latest rankings serve as a testament to Türkiye’s growing influence in the global defense market. They reflect the country’s enhanced capability to develop and export a diverse array of defense systems, marking its evolution as a key player in the industry.
