Solustiq: Pioneering Vertical AI Technology for Global Travel in Turkey

by admin477351

Solustiq, a pioneering software and artificial intelligence firm based in Turkey, has announced its emergence as the country’s first vertical AI company specifically designed for the global travel and tourism sector. With its headquarters in Edirne and additional offices in Istanbul and Dubai, Solustiq is laying the groundwork for an AI infrastructure that targets the needs of the world’s largest service industry, which contributes over $11 trillion to the global GDP and supports one in ten workers worldwide. Despite its economic significance, the travel and tourism industry remains technologically underdeveloped. Solustiq is at the forefront of a new wave of “vertical AI” companies dedicated to crafting AI solutions that are deeply integrated into the workflows, data structures, and regulatory nuances of specific industries.

Founder and CEO Alper Tekin emphasizes the industry’s need for specialized AI. “The travel industry doesn’t need another general-purpose chatbot. It needs AI that understands GDS systems, hotel inventory APIs, regulatory frameworks like TURSAB, and the operational rhythm of a tour operator at 3 a.m. when a flight gets cancelled,” Tekin remarked. To address these specific needs, Solustiq has deviated from the traditional single-product SaaS model by developing a suite of AI-native products aimed at various components of the travel tech stack. These include DataGreat, an AI market intelligence platform; SkilledAgents, a no-code platform for building AI agents; VibePy, an AI code generation engine; and Vuln0x, an AI penetration testing platform. Each product solves distinct challenges within the travel value chain, utilizing domain-specific data and industry-standard protocols.

Solustiq’s vertical AI strategy is already being put to the test through its affiliate, Safaryar Holidays, a TURSAB-licensed B2B hotel wholesaler and destination management company based in Istanbul. Safaryar Holidays acts both as a customer and a testbed for Solustiq’s platform, offering real-world insights that many B2B SaaS companies take years to gather. Additionally, Solustiq manages over 90 travel-related domains, including high-profile sites like hagiasophia.com and galatatower.com, using them as content and distribution channels for AI-generated travel intelligence.

According to Tekin, the travel industry is approaching a pivotal moment for vertical AI adoption by 2026 due to three main factors. Firstly, legacy GDS providers like Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport are facing their first major competition as AI-native infrastructure providers mature commercially. Secondly, the cost dynamics of “build vs. buy” are shifting, enabling smaller travel agencies to afford AI technology at SaaS pricing. Lastly, regulatory developments in the EU and Turkey, such as Turkey’s Cybersecurity Law 7545, are driving infrastructure modernization that the old systems cannot accommodate. “We’re not asking the travel industry to adopt AI,” Tekin stated. “We’re asking it to choose between vertical AI built by people who understand the industry, or horizontal AI built by people who don’t. We think that’s a much easier conversation.”

Solustiq, officially known as Solustiq Yazılım ve Yapay Zeka Teknolojileri A.Ş., continues to innovate AI-native software solutions for the global travel and tourism industry. Founded by Alper Tekin, the company operates from Edirne with a presence in Istanbul and Dubai through Tech In Wise IT Solutions L.L.C. Its product portfolio, including DataGreat, SkilledAgents, VibePy, and Vuln0x, reflects a commitment to revolutionizing the travel sector by integrating AI into its core operations.
